Who’s the guy in the photo?

Bill Raver has lived and practiced law in San Luis Obispo County for more than 25 years. His legal experience runs the gamut from the large-firm setting to a solo practice specializing in small business and real estate law.  For the past ten years, he has served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Heritage Oaks Bank, where he supervised facilities, problem loan resolution and regulatory matters as well as handling the bank’s corporate legal department.  His management experience and exposure to employer-employee issues give him valuable perspective into all types of disputes.

Bill has served his community by volunteering with several different non-profit organizations, notably Greenspace: the Cambria Land Trust, Friends of the Elephant Seals, and the Community Foundation of San Luis Obispo County, where he currently serves as treasurer and chairs the investment committee.  Bill’s public service includes more than six years on the Board of Trustees of the Coast Unified School District, where he served as President of the Board for four years.

Bill was one of the founding members of SLOLAC, which provides alternative legal services to the community, and served as President of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association.  He has extensive experience with mediation and arbitration, both as an advocate for participants, and as the neutral party selected to help resolve the dispute.
